23K Artisans Gold (Patent) - 15g - 3-3/8" Pack - Artisans Gold This is genuine 23K Artisans Gold leaf in patent form — 15g 3-3/8" leaf from Artisans Gold, made for gilders who lay real gold. Artisans Gold is genuine gold leaf beaten for gilders who want real karat gold at a working price — true gold color and handling without the premium-leaf premium. Patent (transfer) leaf is pressed to a tissue backing so you can press it straight onto the sized surface — faster to lay, ideal for large flat areas, outdoor work, and oil-size gilding. This bulk pack keeps production gilders supplied — buy the book when you want to try a color, buy the pack when it's your everyday gold. Use it for water gilding over gesso and clay on interior architectural detail and moldings. 23K Artisans Gold is the classic gilder's shade — the color clients picture when they ask for gold leaf. Handle leaf in still air — even a breath moves it. Keep books flat, dry, and away from direct sun; leaf keeps indefinitely when stored cool and dry. Wipe tools clean before you start so no oil or dust rides along onto the size. Details
