23K Large Area Leaf Gold (Patent) - 27g -4-1/8" Pack - Wehrung & Billmeier This is genuine 23K Large Area Leaf Gold leaf in patent form — 27g 4-1/8" leaf from Wehrung & Billmeier, made for gilders who lay real gold. Wehrung & Billmeier beats its leaf in the United States, carrying the old hand-beaten tradition into leaf made for working gilders — consistent color, honest weight, ready to lay. Patent (transfer) leaf is pressed to a tissue backing so you can press it straight onto the sized surface — faster to lay, ideal for large flat areas, outdoor work, and oil-size gilding. This bulk pack keeps production gilders supplied — buy the book when you want to try a color, buy the pack when it's your everyday gold. Use it for frame, mirror, and furniture gilding on wood, metal, glass, plaster, and canvas. 23K Large Area Leaf Gold is the classic gilder's shade — the color clients picture when they ask for gold leaf. Handle leaf in still air — even a breath moves it. Keep books flat, dry, and away from direct sun; leaf keeps indefinitely when stored cool and dry. Wipe tools clean before you start so no oil or dust rides along onto the size. Details
