23K XX Deep Gold (Patent) Book of 12 Leaves - 16g - 3-3/8" Book - Wehrung & Billmeier This is genuine 23K XX Deep Gold leaf in patent form — 16g 3-3/8" leaf from Wehrung & Billmeier, made for gilders who lay real gold. Wehrung & Billmeier beats its leaf in the United States, carrying the old hand-beaten tradition into leaf made for working gilders — consistent color, honest weight, ready to lay. Patent (transfer) leaf is pressed to a tissue backing so you can press it straight onto the sized surface — faster to lay, ideal for large flat areas, outdoor work, and oil-size gilding. A book is the right size to learn a new shade or keep a working stock of the colors you reach for most. Use it for glass gilding and reverse-glass work on musical instruments and decorative objects. 23K XX Deep Gold is the warm, rich gilder's shade — the color clients picture when they ask for gold leaf. Handle leaf in still air — even a breath moves it. Keep books flat, dry, and away from direct sun; leaf keeps indefinitely when stored cool and dry. Wipe tools clean before you start so no oil or dust rides along onto the size. Details
