24K Hand Beaten Pure Gold (Loose) - 20g - 3-1/8" Pack - Wehrung & Billmeier This is genuine 24K Hand Beaten Pure Gold leaf in loose form — 20g 3-1/8" leaf from Wehrung & Billmeier, made for gilders who lay real gold. Wehrung & Billmeier beats its leaf in the United States, carrying the old hand-beaten tradition into leaf made for working gilders — consistent color, honest weight, ready to lay. Loose leaf comes interleaved with tissue in booklet form — lift each leaf with a gilder's tip and lay it onto tacky size. Loose is the choice for water gilding and for any work where you cut and place leaf by hand. This bulk pack keeps production gilders supplied — buy the book when you want to try a color, buy the pack when it's your everyday gold. Use it for frame, mirror, and furniture gilding on wood, metal, glass, plaster, and canvas. 24K Hand Beaten Pure Gold is the classic gilder's shade — the color clients picture when they ask for gold leaf. Handle leaf in still air — even a breath moves it. Keep books flat, dry, and away from direct sun; leaf keeps indefinitely when stored cool and dry. Wipe tools clean before you start so no oil or dust rides along onto the size. Details
