White Gold Kit, Basic Water

The minimum kit for water-based gilding in white gold — for reverse glass gilding and mirrors.

Same kit as the gold or silver Basic Water, with the 13.25kt white gold book replacing the gold or silver leaf book. It includes a water gilding mop, the white gold book, and Gilders Gelatin Size. The mop applies the sizing, and when dry it dusts the excess leaf off, the same job as cotton. Lay the leaf on the sized glass, let it dry, dust off the excess, then protect the back.

Customer supplies their own: cotton and backing paint or varnish are not in the kit. For reverse glass work, the backing paint goes over the leaf on the back of the glass to protect it.
