Gilder's Water Size Pot - The Goldfather - The Goldfather
This is Gilder's Water Size Pot — a gilder's tool stocked by Letterhead Sign Supply for working sign painters and gilders. The right tool is what separates a clean gilding job from a frustrating one.
Keep it clean, dry, and put away after the job — gilding tools last decades when they're respected. Inspect before each use; a damaged tool marks the work.
Use it for water gilding over gesso and clay on signs, panels, and dimensional letters.
Wipe down after use and store dry. Replace consumables before they fail mid-job — running out halfway through a gilding session costs more than the refill.
