The minimum kit for water-based gilding — for reverse glass gilding and mirrors. A water gilding mop, a full book of genuine 23kt gold leaf, and Gilders Gelatin Size. The mop applies the sizing, and when dry it dusts the excess leaf off, the same job as cotton.

Customer supplies their own: cotton and backing paint or varnish are not in the kit. For reverse glass work, the backing paint goes over the leaf on the back of the glass to protect it.
