Mack Black Plague Scroll Brush Size 000

Mack Black Plague Scroll Brush Size 000

The Black Plague in size 000 is the finest scroll brush in Mack's Lazer Line, dressed in its signature black chrome ferrule. Taklon hair in a full synthetic filament mixture gives this little brush remarkable snap for its size, and the 000 designation means it is built for the smallest scrollwork - pinhead dots, hairline tendrils, and ornament measured in millimeters. Small work, meet your new favorite.

That black chrome ferrule is more than good looks: it seats the taklon bundle precisely so the point stays true pull after pull. The full synthetic mixture releases paint evenly and resists the splaying that kills fine scroll brushes, so tight patterns stay tight. The line actually runs six sizes deep - and the 000 is the one the detail-obsessed reach for.

Load the 000 lightly and let the taklon do the work; heavy pressure only spreads a fine point. Rinse in spirits before paint tacks, then work preservative into the heel to keep the snap. Letterhead Sign Supply carries all six Black Plague sizes, from this 000 up to the bold size 3.
