Mack/Tidwell Foxy Tails Sly Filly

Mack/Tidwell Foxy Tails Sly Filly

Sly Filly is the small, flat, long filbert of the set — a shape that lays down tapered ribbons of paint and rolls onto its edge for crisp, script-style strokes.

Built from the Andrew Mack and Steve "Tidwell" Chaszeyka collaboration, Sly Filly grew out of a stack of butchered lettering and art brushes — shape, hair configuration, hair length, and filament type all tweaked until the brush pulled exactly the way Tidwell wanted. Four of the six Foxy Tails brushes are genuinely unique shapes, and even the two traditional rounds carry Tidwell-tweaked lengths and sizes you will not find in the standard line.

Like every Foxy Tails brush, Sly Filly is fully synthetic — it keeps its shape through long sessions, rinses clean with mineral spirits, and goes back in the box ready for the next panel with nothing more than a dab of brush oil.
