Palladium (Loose) - 16g - 3-1/8" Book - Wehrung & Billmeier
This is genuine Palladium palladium leaf in loose form — 16g 3-1/8" leaf from Wehrung & Billmeier, made for gilders who lay real palladium. Wehrung & Billmeier beats its leaf in the United States, carrying the old hand-beaten tradition into leaf made for working gilders — consistent color, honest weight, ready to lay.
Loose leaf comes interleaved with tissue in booklet form — lift each leaf with a gilder's tip and lay it onto tacky size. Loose is the choice for water gilding and for any work where you cut and place leaf by hand. A book is the right size to learn a new shade or keep a working stock of the colors you reach for most.
Use it for architectural gilding and restoration on picture frames, mirrors, and furniture. Palladium is the classic gilder's shade — the color clients picture when they ask for palladium leaf.
Handle leaf in still air — even a breath moves it. Keep books flat, dry, and away from direct sun; leaf keeps indefinitely when stored cool and dry. Wipe tools clean before you start so no oil or dust rides along onto the size.
