Mack PinApple Express Lettering Quills Set of 5

The Mack PinApple Express Lettering Quills Set of 5 is the long-haired lettering quill Von Dago perfected after a year of trial-and-error experiments. Well-known sign painters field-tested the Set of 5 alongside Von Dago before the PinApple Express ever reached the market. It pairs the finest imported European blue squirrel hair with the newest and softest synthetic filament developed for the Set of 5 lettering quill.

This five-brush Set of 5 covers sizes 0, 2, 4, 6 and 8, so the right quill is always on the rack. Each quill in the Set of 5 holds paint deep in its long hair and releases it in a smooth, controlled pull. Sign painters reach for the Set of 5 for showcards, panels, window lettering and detailed scrollwork.

Before its first use, every quill in the Set of 5 should be washed with warm water and a mild hand soap. Von Dago strongly recommends a three-day pre-soak in oil before the first usage of each brush. He says that oil soak makes a huge difference in how the Set of 5 performs on the pull. Mack list price for the Set of 5 is $59.54; order the Set of 5 from Letterhead Sign Supply.
