Gold leaf for gilding, in every karat and form a sign painter or gilder needs. Genuine gold leaf from W&B (American) and Manetti (Italian) — loose surface leaf, patent transfer leaf, rolls, and ribbon — plus silver leaf, palladium leaf, and imitation leaf in brass, aluminum, copper, and variegated finishes.
Gold leaf is alloyed with silver, copper, and other metals to get each color and karat. Higher karat means deeper color and more durability; lower karats like 12kt and 18kt lemon give lighter tones at a lower price. Standard sheets are 3-3/8" square, sold by the book of 25 leaves or the pack of 500.
