Very pale Japanese awabi abalone with strong pink and green iridescence and no black lines. Its pronounced washboard ripple gives every piece a lovely rolling movement of light.

Precision inlay dots, individually lathe-turned — not just core-drilled — for maximum uniformity from piece to piece. Dots are the classic choice for guitar fingerboard and side position markers, and they also shine in jewelry, box and furniture decoration, from single accents to elaborate nested geometric designs using many sizes.

Working with this shell

To inlay flush: drill or rout the pocket to the dot diameter, set the dot with a touch of super-glue applied with a toothpick, and sand level. Order all the dots for one job at once so color and figure match across the piece.
