22K Dark Yellow Gold (Patent) - 14g - 80mm Pack - Giusto Manetti This is genuine 22K Dark Yellow Gold leaf in patent form — 14g 80mm leaf from Giusto Manetti, made for gilders who lay real gold. Giusto Manetti Battiloro has beaten gold leaf in Florence, Italy since the 1600s — leaf beaten the slow way, leaf by leaf, the way master gilders have used it for centuries. Patent (transfer) leaf is pressed to a tissue backing so you can press it straight onto the sized surface — faster to lay, ideal for large flat areas, outdoor work, and oil-size gilding. This bulk pack keeps production gilders supplied — buy the book when you want to try a color, buy the pack when it's your everyday gold. Use it for architectural gilding and restoration on picture frames, mirrors, and furniture. 22K Dark Yellow Gold is the classic gilder's shade — the color clients picture when they ask for gold leaf. Handle leaf in still air — even a breath moves it. Keep books flat, dry, and away from direct sun; leaf keeps indefinitely when stored cool and dry. Wipe tools clean before you start so no oil or dust rides along onto the size. Details
