22K XX Deep Yellow Double Gold (Surface)- 18g - 86mm Book - Giusto Manetti This is genuine 22K XX Deep Yellow Double Gold leaf in surface form — 18g 86mm leaf from Giusto Manetti, made for gilders who lay real gold. Giusto Manetti Battiloro has beaten gold leaf in Florence, Italy since the 1600s — leaf beaten the slow way, leaf by leaf, the way master gilders have used it for centuries. Surface leaf is the classic loose-leaf booklet for hand gilding — each leaf interleaved with tissue, ready to pick up with a tip and lay onto your prepared ground. A book is the right size to learn a new shade or keep a working stock of the colors you reach for most. Use it for glass gilding and reverse-glass work on musical instruments and decorative objects. 22K XX Deep Yellow Double Gold is the warm, rich gilder's shade — the color clients picture when they ask for gold leaf. Handle leaf in still air — even a breath moves it. Keep books flat, dry, and away from direct sun; leaf keeps indefinitely when stored cool and dry. Wipe tools clean before you start so no oil or dust rides along onto the size. Details
