22K XX Deep Yellow Double Gold (Surface)- 18g - 86mm Pack - Giusto Manetti This is genuine 22K XX Deep Yellow Double Gold leaf in surface form — 18g 86mm leaf from Giusto Manetti, made for gilders who lay real gold. Giusto Manetti Battiloro has beaten gold leaf in Florence, Italy since the 1600s — leaf beaten the slow way, leaf by leaf, the way master gilders have used it for centuries. Surface leaf is the classic loose-leaf booklet for hand gilding — each leaf interleaved with tissue, ready to pick up with a tip and lay onto your prepared ground. This bulk pack keeps production gilders supplied — buy the book when you want to try a color, buy the pack when it's your everyday gold. Use it for sign painting and pictorial gilding on liturgical ware, icons, and fine art. 22K XX Deep Yellow Double Gold is the warm, rich gilder's shade — the color clients picture when they ask for gold leaf. Handle leaf in still air — even a breath moves it. Keep books flat, dry, and away from direct sun; leaf keeps indefinitely when stored cool and dry. Wipe tools clean before you start so no oil or dust rides along onto the size. Details
