23.5K Platin Gold (Surface) - 16g - 85mm *Ltd. Pack - Giusto Manetti This is genuine 23.5K Platin Gold leaf in surface form — 16g 85mm leaf from Giusto Manetti, made for gilders who lay real gold. Giusto Manetti Battiloro has beaten gold leaf in Florence, Italy since the 1600s — leaf beaten the slow way, leaf by leaf, the way master gilders have used it for centuries. Surface leaf is the classic loose-leaf booklet for hand gilding — each leaf interleaved with tissue, ready to pick up with a tip and lay onto your prepared ground. This bulk pack keeps production gilders supplied — buy the book when you want to try a color, buy the pack when it's your everyday gold. Use it for architectural gilding and restoration on picture frames, mirrors, and furniture. 23.5K Platin Gold is the classic gilder's shade — the color clients picture when they ask for gold leaf. Handle leaf in still air — even a breath moves it. Keep books flat, dry, and away from direct sun; leaf keeps indefinitely when stored cool and dry. Wipe tools clean before you start so no oil or dust rides along onto the size. Details
