At 1 3/8 inches of hair past the ferrule, the Size 2 is the longest-pulling member of the Extreme Liner trio. Johnson built the series around blue squirrel hair because it keeps a full belly of paint while still laying a hairline — the combination that makes outlining gold lettering practical. The bright orange handle keeps the brush findable on a crowded dash.

The nickel ferrule sets the hair in a firm bed, so the Size 2 tracks straight through extended outline passes without splaying. When a job calls for continuous fine lines around large lettering, this is the variant that stays loaded the longest. Detail painters also press it into service for long pinstripe borders.
