The Palmer Method School of Penmanship (1909) by Francis B. Courtney is the famous Palmer method in its school edition — the muscular-movement handwriting system that taught America to write. Short, name-recognition, and genuinely effective instruction.

Inside this 1909 handbook:

Francis B. Courtney’s 1909 system builds the hand from the ground up: muscular-movement drills, then business penmanship. Calligraphers and lettering artists still mine books like this for flourishes and letterforms no modern manual teaches.
