Burnishing Cloth - Selvyt (5" x 5") - Pkg. of Three Cloths - Pkg. of Three ClothsThis is Burnishing Cloth — gilder's bench stock for handling and finishing leaf. Clean handling materials are the difference between bright gold and gold with fingerprints in it.Keep handling cloths and pads clean and dry, and replace them when they load up with size or tarnish. Cotton gloves keep skin oil off the leaf — cheap insurance on every job.Use it for frame, mirror, and furniture gilding on liturgical ware, icons, and fine art. Stock the bench once and every gilding job goes smoother.Wipe down after use and store dry. Replace consumables before they fail mid-job — running out halfway through a gilding session costs more than the refill.Details
