Gilding Knife - Deluxe with Sheath (15cm) Dual Edge - German - GermanThis is Gilding Knife — the gilder's knife for cutting leaf on the cushion. A sharp, clean knife cuts leaf without dragging, so each piece lifts whole onto the tip.Keep the edge honed and wipe it clean before cutting — any oil on the blade transfers to the leaf. Cut with a single decisive stroke on a leather gilder's cushion.Use it for architectural gilding and restoration on wood, metal, glass, plaster, and canvas. Every loose-leaf gilder needs a knife they trust; this is that knife.Wipe down after use and store dry. Replace consumables before they fail mid-job — running out halfway through a gilding session costs more than the refill.Details
