Modern Show Card Writing (1922) — Digital Download

The British show-card manual, as an instant download.

Modern Show Card Writing (1922) by Joseph Bertram Jowitt brings the British school of show-card writing — a different national style from the American card manuals, with its own alphabets, methods, and commercial sensibility. A fresh angle for the card-writing shelf.

Inside this 1922 manual:

Show card writing was a trade of its own, and this 1922 manual teaches it like one: one-stroke show card alphabets, price-ticket and sale-card layouts. Show card writers, retail advertisers, and sign painters lettering retail work — price tickets, sale cards, window displays — will find alphabets sized for real card work.
