Hardware Show Card Writing (1913) — Digital Download

Cards for hardware stores, as an instant download.

Hardware Show Card Writing (1913) by Albert Edwin Hurst and Clarence Joseph Nowak is the niche specialist — show cards written for hardware stores, with the trade language and layouts that sell tools and goods. A fun, specific audience done properly.

Inside this 1913 instructor:

The 1913 show card man earned his living with speed and consistency, and this book trains both: brush handling for card work drilled until the hand obeys. Show card writers, retail advertisers, and sign painters will recognize letterforms still in use on retail signage today.
