The rapid-lettering method, as an instant download.

Fairchild’s Rapid Letterer and Show-Card Maker (1910), compiled by Sidney Hackes, teaches commercial alphabet construction with the brush — the rapid-lettering method for card men who needed speed without losing style. Built for production work.

Inside this 1910 instructor:

The 1910 show card man earned his living with speed and consistency, and this book trains both: brush handling for card work drilled until the hand obeys. Show card writers, retail advertisers, and sign painters will recognize letterforms still in use on retail signage today.
