The handle is made from plastic so as not to be damaged by water. Great to use with precious metals such as gold, silver, and palladium loose leaf. Single thickness Gilders Tips by Ron Percell, the differences in tips sizes vary, but to keep it simple, different sizes of Gilders Tips are made based on the size of the Gold Leaf. Then we get into different thicknesses of Single Tips, Double Tips and the new Triple Tip. The Double Tip has about 25% more hair than the Single Tip, While the Triple Tip has 3 time the amount of hair of the Single Tip.
